I love pancakes. I love French toast. This is their love child.
This recipe also freezes well, so no need to waste the leftovers.
When French Toast Met Pancakes
Ingredients
- 4 large eggs
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup milk
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1.5 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoons salt
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1/2 teaspoons cinnamon
- 12 slices of thick bread
Instructions
- Beat eggs until fluffy.
- Beat in all remaining ingredients except for the bread.
- Heat a griddle over medium high heat until a drop of water skitters across the pan.
- Dip one slice of bread into the mixture at a time, coating both sides. Place on the griddle and brown one side, then flip and brown the other.
