This chicken Parmesan is easy to make and delicious. The recipe is flexible enough to let you tailor it to your personal tastes.

Slow cooker Chicken Parmesan

  • 1 pound boneless chicken breasts
  • 1/2 cup plain bread crumbs
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon Kosher salt
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 4-6 slices of mozzarella cheese
  • 1 jar (about 28 ounces) of marinara or spaghetti sauce

  1. Drizzle olive oil over bottom of the crockpot.
  2. In a medium bowl, beat the egg.
  3. In a second bowl, mix the bread crumbs, Parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning, black pepper, and salt.
  4. Cut chicken into strips. This will allow you to get more of the Parmesan coating on them, and will make them easier to eat once cooked.
  5. Dip each chicken strip in the beaten egg, and then coat with the bread crumb mixture. Make sure the strip is completely coated on both sides.
  6. Cover bottom of crockpot with chicken slices, then layer mozzarella cheese on top of the chicken. Pour the jar of sauce on top.
  7. Place lid on crockpot. Cook for 6-7 hours on low, or 3-4 hours on high. Serve over cooked pasta of your choice.
